5782-2021 High Holy Days Annual Appeal

At this time of the year, our Jacksonville Jewish Center family comes together to reflect on the past year and contemplate the future. Over the past year and a half, we have all been impacted by the effects of the pandemic and continue to be challenged by our “new normal”. One constant in our lives has been the commitment of our clergy, staff and lay leadership to ensure that our congregational needs are met. So at this time of year, we also have the opportunity to reflect on how grateful we are to belong to this caring community.

During this challenging time, our synagogue and schools continue to have to make difficult financial decisions based on the impact of the pandemic.  Because we are unsure of when the building will be able to be fully utilized by our congregants, we continue to invest heavily in technology for remote programming as well as investing in state-of-the-art safety protective measures within the building. We hope that you have engaged throughout the year in the programming that we have offered and look forward to welcoming all of our congregants into the building when we can do so safely and without constraints.

Last year, thanks to your generosity, and coupled with matching grants, we exceeded our goal! Our goal this year is $390,000. Please help us reach our goal and achieve 100% participation. Each and every congregant... each and every family... is a valued member and plays a critical role in our success.  Every gift is vital to our ability to serve you.
